“The Wiz” came to life with Award winning costuming and an 11 foot puppet.
For me, Design starts with research. my visual ideas come from real places, real people, real animals and real cultures. Our Jungle Book animals wear costumes stylized from Indian garments. The Wiz Characters refer to American Black cultural icons and African clothing styles. It Gives the story roots. and, hopefully, it honors the communities which inspired these stories.
